Amigos Night (formerly Miami Celebrity Domino Night) is Amigos For Kids’ signature annual fundraiser. Record-breaking attendance in the last several years has made this event a showcase for many of Miami’s celebrities, media personalities, political, community and corporate leaders, and social elite. With over 1,500 of Miami’s movers and shakers, influencers, and celebrity guests in attendance, it will be an unforgettable evening.
The event, supported by the title sponsor, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which will provide guests with an open bar courtesy of the presenting sponsor, Bacardi USA, and dinner-by-the-bite at its culinary pavilion featuring local flavors provided by some of Miami's most popular chefs and restaurants. The evening will also feature a performance by renowned celebrity DJ Irie and live entertainment by Extasy. A stellar silent auction will showcase hundreds of dazzling items, including art, sports memorabilia, fine jewelry, luxurious travel experiences, and much more.
This legacy event aims to generate crucial funds for Amigos’ numerous programs and vital services aimed at empowering families to thrive. Recognizing the significance of a nurturing environment for children, we work tirelessly to provide essential resources, such as after school enrichment programs, parent education, and wrap-around support for struggling families.

Ms. Arango grew up with a passion for Higher Education and helping others in her community. She also worked in higher education for over a decade serving in various roles from fundraising as Senior Director of Development, to Deputy Chief of Staff to the President and Executive Director of Government and Community Relations. She brings a combination of her successful fundraising career raising over $50M for the University’s Momentum 2 Campaign, her international business experience, her passion for real estate, customer service, marketing and sales background. Adriana was an integral part of expanding the Real Estate Advisory Boards and raising record breaking funds for the annual Conference for the School of Architecture and the School of Business Administration. She also raised the largest gifts in history of the UM Lowe Art Museum and the School of Architecture.
Her relationship building skills with individuals, parents, corporations and foundations have been critical to her success in the various roles in her career. Prior to joining the University, Ms. Arango worked as an Executive for Neiman Marcus Group and Federated Department Stores. Ms. Arango was instrumental in the implementation of companywide customer service programs. Ms. Arango was also named Executive of the Year for overall outstanding performance. She previously worked in the fashion industry in business development and model management and developed a wide range of U.S. and international clientele including world renowned fashion designers, retailers, print magazines and fashion photographers. Ms. Arango scouted, developed and managed the careers of several international super models.
Ms. Verdeja holds an Associates in Arts Degree, a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Barry University and is a Candidate for Masters in Liberal Studies from the University of Miami. Ms. Verdeja, fluent in Spanish, serves as an active volunteer, committee, and board member for several organizations in the South Florida community. Some of the organizations include the Florida Red Cross, Coral Gables Community Foundation, Chamber South and a few others. She has recently been awarded the Rock Star Award by Miami Women Who Rock, Board Member of the Year for the Coral Gables Community Foundation and Hispanic Women of Distinction Award.
Yesenia Moreno is an Executive Vice President of New Edge Associates.
Representing several large institutions within the Florida and Northeast region, Yesenia has pioneered in the staffing industry for the last 25 years. With a strong network that supports her. Her knowledge and experience in the South Florida market is second to none.
Ambition is a word she has come to know well. Yesenia Moreno is a woman with endless drive and her knowledge of the market has made her a key element in the industry. She is an active Board Member of Chamber South, Sebastian Strong and serves on the Executive Board for South Florida Banking Institute. Nicole Valls, VP of Operations for Valls Group Inc. joined Amigos For Kids nearly two decades ago, first as host committee chair for the organization’s Miami Celebrity Domino Night fundraiser and in 2009 as a board member.
She proudly served as the board of directors’ vice chair from 2013 to 2016 and went on to become board chair from 2017 to 2020. She currently serves as the board’s immediate past chair and the chair of the organization’s events committee.
Nicole is a true champion for children and families and has been an invaluable partner in the fight against child abuse. Amigos is infinitely grateful for her leadership and for her tireless dedication and commitment to our mission.
